Poise Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Poise, a mobile application published by Saper Solutions LLC ("Saper Solutions," "we," "us") that lets you practice difficult workplace conversations against an AI-generated roleplay partner and receive scored feedback. By downloading, installing, or using Poise, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Poise presents practice scenarios and generates an AI roleplay partner's responses to help you rehearse workplace conversations, then scores and grades your performance. Progress can be used entirely on-device, or, if you choose to sign in, synced across your devices as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Subscriptions
Poise offers an optional auto-renewable subscription tier, Poise Pro, available on a monthly or annual basis, which unlocks additional features and removes advertising. Subscriptions are purchased and billed entirely through your Apple ID / App Store account; Saper Solutions never sees or stores your payment details. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your App Store account settings. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4. Intellectual Property
All content and materials in Poise, including but not limited to text, lesson content, graphics, logos, trademarks, and software, are the property of Saper Solutions or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content in Poise without prior written consent from Saper Solutions.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Poise only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:
Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
Interfering with the proper functioning of the app or the servers and AI services it relies on.
Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or source code used by the app.
Uploading or transmitting malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful content through the app.
6. Third-Party AI Processing
When you practice a conversation in Poise, the text you type is sent to Saper Solutions' own server, which uses a third-party AI service (Amazon Bedrock, running Anthropic's Claude model) to generate the roleplay partner's replies and to grade the conversation afterward. Details on what is and is not collected in connection with this processing are described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
Poise is a practice and feedback tool intended to help you rehearse conversations; it is not professional, legal, or HR advice, and AI-generated feedback may not always be accurate. Saper Solutions shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use or inability to use the app or any content or feedback generated within it. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content.
8. Termination
Saper Solutions reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to Poise at any time and for any reason without notice. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the app. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees already paid; refunds, where applicable, are handled through your Apple ID / App Store account in accordance with Apple's policies.
9. Children
Poise is a professional-development tool intended for working adults managing workplace conversations. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10. Changes to Terms
Saper Solutions may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of Poise following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Washington.
